The National Convention of the Junior Chamber International (aka Jaycees) is the most important event in the calendar of the National organization, with the Area Convention being that for the region, and the World Congress being that of the entire world.
The objectives is for members to gather to learn, to transact business, celebrate successes and achievements of the year, and vote in the Board of Directors for the following year.
Junior Chamber International (Singapore) has 4 chapters - JCI City (all boys), JCI Orchid (all girls), JCI Marina (mixed, English-speaking), and Mandarin (mixed, Mandarin-speaking). Each chapter has its own characteristics, such as the City being very strong in the business aspect, and Marina being very cosmopolitan and community-based.
This year, Marina Junior Chamber has the honour of organizing the 37th National Convention of Junior Chamber International (Singapore).
